Over 100 Years of Fabulous Furniture
The Stouby world began back in 1902 in a small Danish village, called Stouby. With half a leather hide, the frame of a chaise longue and a little linen, Marius J. Blirup produced the first ever piece of Stouby furniture, but not the last.
By the 1940s Stouby furniture was being exported all over the world as far as Kuwait and the USA and the brand continues to grow today. The success of Stouby is based on its groundbreaking aesthetic and the unique designs that are available, as well as the quality of the workmanship with all pieces being made by hand in Denmark.
Today Stouby works with exciting up and coming designers, such as Thomas Pederson, who created the Concord chair, as well as continuing the designs of established designers such as the late Illum Wikkelsø, who designed the V11 sofa, chair and footstool.
