The different materials and shapes of the Salinas de Maras tufted rug by Carpet Sign come together looking like a natural landscape. The design of this rug was inspired by the terraced salt-evaporating ponds in the Peruvian Andes created by the Incas more than 700 years ago. The rug is available in three different patchwork-style designs - square, rectangular and stripes, and three colour combinations - salty white, ash gold and black sapphire. Salinas de Maras was designed by Christiane Müller.

The pile heigh of the different pieces of Salinas de Maras varies between 10 mm and 60 mm, pile weight 2800 g/sq m. This rug comes in standard sizes of 2 x 2 m and 2 x 3 m, but these sizes can be increased linearly. Maximum size: 430 x 430 cm (square) or 313 x 470 cm (rectangular). Salinas de Maras is made of a mix of wool, silk, linen, cotton and viscose. This rug has officially been tested and is suitable for residential use.
