KASPER SALTO 2010
The Nap chair, designed in 2010 by Kasper Salto, is an extremely elegant product radiating practicality, comfort and style. The Nap chair appears to have a simplistic design with an elegantly curved shell designed support the body shape.
The Nylon shell has a series of contours designed to naturally adapt to the shape of the body, meaning that although the chair is plastic it has a high level of comfort. Salto himself stated that the name of the Nap chair derived from an abbreviation of the key sitting positions; normal, active and passive. The Nap chair is a prime example of the work Kasper Salto focused on combining simple structures, materials and the desire to improve life through design. Salto trained firstly as a cabinet maker and went on to graduate from the Danish Design School in Copenhagen and has more recently won many internationally acclaimed awards in design.
