Louis Poulsen has relaunched the original Radiohus pendant light from the 1940s, designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen. It gives a lovely soft illumination through the semi transparent glass, and looks elegant and sculptural even when not lit. The Radiohus Pendant was originally designed for the construction of the Radiohuset building on Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, which is now home to the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
The Radiohus is available in two sizes: 25cm and 37cm diameter. The light will feature the original design, updated to accommodate modern advances in technology and energy efficiency. The Radiohus Pendant consists of three layers of mouth-blown glass. The innermost and outermost layers are made of transparent polished glass, and white glass is used for the middle layer.
