The Oxford Chair was originally designed in 1963 by Arne Jacobsen for use in St. Catherine's College in Oxford. In 2016 Fritz Hansen relaunched this historical chair with two new models: Oxford Premium and Oxford Classic. The Oxford Premium Chair on toes comes in a variety of new soothing colours, in a lovely soft fabric or leather, along with a subtle pattern of clean, horizontal lines. A special foam adds more comfort and makes the chair more inviting to sit in for long periods of time.
The Oxford Premium chair is available with two backrest options: low and medium. It comes only with a version with arms. You can choose between a five-star swivel base on castors or five-star fixed base on toes. The castor-based version also has an adjustable tilt. In addition to the standard Kvadrat colours, the Premium chair now comes in Rime fabric in a designer selection of nine fresh colours.
