The Patera Pendant lamp is the product of a creative collaboration between Louis Poulsen and Danish designer Øiving Slaatto. Inspired by the Fibonacci sequence, the lamp mimics nature's pattern that can be found everywhere, from sunflowers to pinecones. This modern chandelier floats orb-like in the room, attracting attention and illuminating the space in a soft, warm light. Its intricate design becomes more beautiful when looked at closely, as each cell detail becomes visible.
Each cell is carefully designed to capture light and to shield the light source from the viewing angles above 45 degrees. Each cell glows. Below 45 degrees, the fields are open to direct light downwards. A small amount of light is also sent upwards to illuminate the ceiling.
