The Pedrera Coffee Table is designed by Barba Corsini in 1955 for the loft space at the famous landmark, La Pedrera in Barcelona. The coffee table is with its slim and elegant base and glass table top, a light table that fits into any contemporary home.
The inspiration for the base of the table came from the vaulted ceilings of Gaudi's famous La Pedrera building in Barcelona. Similar to La Pedrera, the coffee table appears to take on a different shape when looking from every angle.
Barba Corsini was a leading functionalist architect who won international praise for his architecture and his design for La Pedrera in Barcelona.'Powerful simplicity' is perhaps an apt description of Corsini's personal design style, as represented by the Pedrera Collection.
