The RIN Chair was created by the Japanese designer Hiromichi Konno whose intention was to combine the design traditions of the Japanese and Danish. The RIN Chair has an extremely unique design, portraying a futuristic element which is an example of Konno's striking style.
Konno looked to redirect traditional chair design by encompassing a modern sense of beauty with comfort and unique style.
HIROMICHI KONNO 1972
I wanted to make a beautiful chair that can stimulate and awaken emotions in people. It must be able to appeal visually but also make us feel a form of elegance when we sit in it. Therefore, I have established something poeti- cal, simple, strong, relaxed and innovative all at the same time. The goal from the beginning was to create the perfect chair, says Hiromichi Konno. Hiromichi Konno is a Japanese designer with an international outlook. He has studied in both Japan and Sweden and also lived in London for many years. His style is very unique and there is a special energy and something almost teasing about his designs. RIN is Hiromichi Konno‰ۡóÁÌ_́ÌÎ_í?ÌÎÌ__í«ÌÎ?s first collabora- tion with Fritz Hansen.
