The reissued Eames Upholstered Plastic Armchair is an Eames classic.

Winner of the MoMA International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture Design.

For the Dining Height Side Chair Wood Base (DSW), Charles and Ray Eames combined the organically shaped shell – which Vitra now manufactures from post-consumer recycled plastic – with a four-legged wooden base. This contrasting juxtaposition of plastic and wood lends the classic design a warm, casual appeal. The seat shells can be fitted with seat cushions or full upholstery in a wide selection of fabric colours, enabling a multitude of individual configurations

Note: Please be aware that the beading round the edge of the upholstery only comes in black or white. Please bear this in mind when choosing your colour combinations.

COPY WATCH: We only sell genuine authorised original Eames. Most copies in the Eames plastic chair range have a shiny high gloss seat, whereas the originals have a matt surface. Also, the genuine chairs have a dyed-through polyproplene seat so the colour does not fade.
