The Ant Chair was produced in 1952 by Arne Jacobsen, one of Denmarks influential designers of the twentieth century. The Ant Chair has a unique and minimalistic form, resulting in its striking simplicity.
The product is designed for practicality as it is stackable and formed from a chrome base, with the choice of either three or four legs. The shape, although minimalistic, is exceedingly comfortable and has become an increasingly iconic item in the Arne Jacobsen collection for Fritz Hansen. Fritz Hansen was originally sceptical about producing the Ant Chair, but Jacobsen held faith in his design offering to personal buy all the chairs that weren't sold.
