Physix, developed with the shared engineering expertise of Albert Meda and Vitra, is the all-round chair for today's modern office. Its light, expressive and high-quality look and easy adjustment options make it ideal for the use in a variety of different work and meeting situations. At the same time, Physix meets the most discerning demands in terms of both comfort and ergonomics thanks to its sophisticated design and materials.

The structure of Physix is based on the idea of creating a continuous seat shell by stretching a single textile panel between two side members. With its design, the chair assumes its place in a long line of iconic chairs while taking the typology to yet another level.

Using state-of-the-art materials and production technology, Alberto Meda orchestrates an interplay of three elements to create a new dynamic sitting experience: a flexible frame construction, an elastic knit cover and a stabilising mechanism.

Together these three characteristics form an ingenious construction that explores new possibilities of dynamic sitting through the interaction of flexible and rigid elements.

Furniture type: Office swivel chair complying with EN1335/Seal of Ergonomic Approval.

Construction & Finishes
Mechanism and support bracket: Made of powder-coated aluminium in deep black or soft grey. With syncronous movement, individual adjustment of the backrest tension and lock in upright position.

Frame, seat and backrest: Flexible frame and armests made of polyamide in deep clack or soft grey. One-pieced seat and backrest formed by the strehed fabric TrioKnit.

Base: five-star made made of die-cast aluminium in powder-coate deep clack, soft grey or polished finish.
