The Tulip chair is an artistic piece, as the seemingly simple structure echoes the form of a sculpture. Designed by Eero Saarinen, this Knoll chair is one of the greatest examples of mid-century design. Saarinen quoted that his personal aim was to create the chair as all one thing. The chair is part of the Pedestal collection, which also includes the famous Tulip table.
It is possible to truly personalise your set of Tulip chairs white two colour options for the shell and a huge selection of fabrics and colours for the upholstery. You can also choose full upholstery as an alternative to
a seat-pad. The base of the chair is made of Rilsan-coated cast aluminium, and the shell is made of moulded fibreglass reinforced plastic bonded finish.
This is an authorised original Saarinen chair from a genuine Knoll dealer. The KnollStudio logo and the Eero Saarinen signature are located on the underside of the base. Each chair comes with a Knoll certificate of authenticity. There are also many options available regarding the colour and upholstery of the Tulip Chair.
