We Love Sofas!
We love sofas, and to celebrate the cosiest month of the year, we are giving away two free Vitra Maharam or Graphic Print cushions with every sofa purchased in February*. The Graphic Print pillows by Alexander Girard were designed in 1961 and are a beautiful combination of motifs from folk art sources and abstract patterns, while the more modern Maharam collection by Hella Jongerius was launched in 2013, based on a series of woven and embroidered fabrics that she designed for The New York textile company Maharam.
Series 7 Chair, 60 Years Anniversary Edition
The Series 7 chair is turning 60 this year, so Fritz Hansen are launching a special Anniversary Edition including two jubilee models in special colours, inspired by the original colour palette by Arne Jacobsen: A "masculine" edition with a dark blue lacquer shell and powder-coated burnished legs, and a "feminine" edition with a shell in pale pink lacquer with 24-ct gold-plated legs.

The World of Charles and Ray Eames: An Exciting New Exhibition coming up at the Barbican in October 2015
Charles and Ray Eames are among the most prominent designers and architects of the 20th century. An exciting new exhibition at the Barbican explores their careers and extraordinary work at the Eames House in Los Angeles, California, where they spent almost four decades living and working together. They used the house (also known as Case Study House #8) as their office, and it was namely there that many of the iconic 20th century furniture pieces were conceived, including the Eames Plastic chair, Eames Lounge chair, and Eames Aluminium chair among others.
